[Translation] How to make a game console with a case, ordering a single PCB




You just have to remember the youth and the body, collected by soldering from the same material as the board. There is nothing new under the sun.

In general, the author reworked his own design - “64- bit "console, adding to it the case. 64 bits in this case is not the width of the data bus, but the amount of video memory. The author generally likes puns, so, in the new console, the classic “Insert coin” means “Insert coin cell”.

The device is made on the ATmega328 microcontroller. Eight games are taken here , here and here . The result of processing is posted here . Everything is there: the circuit, the board, and the software. In general, I liked this project a long time ago, but there were no files for repetition (they appeared 4 days ago), therefore I was slow in translating.

All that was missing was the PNG schema. I asked the author, and now on GitHub there is also she. This scheme will help if you want to collect the same thing even on breadboard (ATmega328P happens in DIP):



But when assembling on the breadboard, the walls of the hull will also have to be made by hand, another size file will serve as a drawing with dimensions. In this case, the walls can be joined not only by soldering, but also by hot melt, therefore the foil material is not necessary.



The author ordered motherboards from DirtyPCBs, choosing dimensions 100x100mm, thickness 1.2 mm. It turned out to be expensive, but another manufacturer, positioning itself as "cheap", requested even more for extra-sophisticated fees.
